Waynedaler LLC donates time, advertising and assistance every year to help local organizations promote positive activity of residents and to bring visitors into the Waynedale community. As a part of our community dedication, we evaluate each event application according to our community assistance guidelines.

  • Waynedale Picnic

    Waynedale PicnicThis annual "old-fashioned" free to the public picnic is designed to bring neighbors together for the celebration of Waynedale. It boasts entertainment and DJ music for all, with children's games and a crafts table for 0-13 year old kids, and bingo for adults. The event provides free hot dogs, pizza and drinks along with other donated snacks. The Waynedale Picnic is an effort supported by many businesses, some neighborhood associations and the many friends of Waynedale. This event receives an average 1500 visitors within its 5 hour span.

  • Waynedale Memorial Day Parade

    Waynedale Memorial Day ParadeEvery Memorial Day, this parade begins at 9am from the Waynedale United Methodist Church parking lot and leads South following Old Trail Road to Prairie Grove Cemetary. The public is invited to join the parade or watch from the sidewalks. The Waynedale parade brings over 3,000 residents and visitors together to see this historic yearly event.

  • Taste Of Waynedale

    Taste Of WaynedaleIndividuals of all ages gather at Kingston Residence to sample some of the tastiest area cuisines from vendors in and around the Waynedale area. The event's vendors provide over 80 different varieties of food that span all realms of the imagination. The annual mid-March gala not only supports local businesses but strives to promote them in the Waynedale area, yet gives a tremendous amount back to the community. Proceeds generated from ticket sales and the silent auction are donated to Community Harvest Food Bank and Waynedale.com.

  • Coney Dog Eating Contest

    Coney Dog Eating ContestThis Coney dog eating contest brings out heavy eaters and spectators from around the Waynedale area. The rules are simple. The top three contestants who eat the most Coney Dogs from "The Stand" in a 10 minute span as possible, receive prizes based on first, second and third place. This quirky event is held annually, in late July, and is designed to be a fun activity for community members to watch and become involved in for the promotion of community activity and togetherness.

  • Out of the Darkness Suicide Fundraiser

    Out of the Darkness WalkThis annual mid-October suicide prevention fundraiser is held on the outskirts of Waynedale at Foster Park. Over 250 walkers come from all over Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio to walk for the cause. Many walk to honor a loved one lost, others walk because they themselves have suffered, and some walked just to show support. All proceeds of this event are donated to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, for the education of college and high school students about depression and suicide, as well as training for survivor groups, and the sponsorship the annual National Suicide Survivor day.

  • Blue Ball Open (Prostate Cancer Fundraiser)

    Blue Ball OpenA fundraiser for the awareness of prostate cancer through a golf outing. Participants of this event play an 18 hole scramble and attend an award ceremony-dinner following the game. This event is supported by corporate sponsorships, in-kind donations and a player entry fee. The annual August golf outing is held at Cedar Creek Golf Club in Leo, Indiana. All proceeds of this event are donated to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana to be used for the promotion of early detection of prostate cancer.

  • Internet Community Education Seminar

    Internet Community Education SeminarAs a part of a lecture series to educate Waynedale residents, The Internet Seminar is held to help attendees learn basic information about free and safe websites available to them. This hands-on lecture teaches how to set up a free e-mail account, create a facebook page, watch family safe videos on youtube and more. It is held at the Kingston Residence and is instructed by two local computer experts at an easy level and slow pace. The lecture series is an ongoing process to bring residents free information, increasing their skill range for work and keeping them using technology safely.

  • Lunch On The Square (Downtown Improvement District)

    Lunch On The SquareThis event is the Downtown Improvement District’s weekly mid-day Thursday event held at One Summit Square during the summer. The square boasts music from various bands and invites families, businesspeople and onlookers to attend the free event. The event is funded by sponsors and corporate booth spaces for the promotion of enjoying downtown Fort Wayne activities.

  • $3,000 Grant To Local Non-profit Organizations

    Non-Profit GrantsThe Waynedale Newspaper gives three $1,000 awards to local non-profits that provide the most assistance to Waynedale residents. There are residents and organizations within the community who are in need of assistance through these helpful agencies, who may be unaware of the services. These grants are awarded to spread the message that there are agencies out there to assist in all aspects of life as well as to encourage other organizations to take action within the Waynedale area.

  • Foster Park Little League Team Sponsorship

    Foster Park Little League SponsorshipFoster Park Little League is a non-profit organization set up to help participants learn the tecniques and rules of baseball. The league has over 30 teams from tee-ball to senior's league that hold practices and play games at Foster Park (on the outskirt of Waynedale) throughout the summer.

  • Luers Knight Sponsorship

    Luers High School Luers KnightBishop Luers High School holds Luers Knight, the Catholic school's largest annual fundraiser in late April. Guests are treated to dinner, a show, an auction, and more. All proceeds go toward supporting the nearby to Waynedale high school.
